An open grimoire on dark wood surrounded by herbs, crystals, and candlelight

Our Lore

Gathered with intention.

“As above, so below. As within, so the wood remembers.”

Hexwood was born from a simple idea: the craft deserves a home that feels as intentional as the practice itself. We're a collective of readers, energy workers, and everyday witches building something modern for those who still listen to the moon.

We hand-select every piece in our collection — crystals, candles, decks, and botanicals — chosen for quality, energy, and purpose. Nothing arrives here by accident. We don't sell shortcuts. We stock the tools, and you bring the will.

From the Folklore

It is said that in the village of Hexwood, the wells ran with rosewater on the eve of every equinox — and any who drank dreamt of their own true name.

Ritual Fragments

  • Light one candle for what you carry. Light a second for what you must set down. Let the third burn for the road between.
  • Three drops of moonwater in the bath. Speak the wish only once. Do not look at the drain.

Warnings, Gently Given

  • Do not light a black candle in an unfamiliar room.
  • Never thank the fae. A debt is a door.
  • A bell rung after midnight calls more than the hour.

From the Hexwood Journal

March 3rd. — The chamomile is finally drying properly. The cat has been staring at the corner of the kitchen for three days. I have stopped asking why.

Beltane eve. — Poured the wax myself this year. Hands shook on the second candle, so I let that one be the wishing one.

Symbolic Meanings

Moonstone
Intuition, the tide of the inner self, dreams that arrive uninvited.
Black Salt
Banishing, boundaries, the line drawn between you and what is not yours.
Mugwort
Vision, lucid dreams, the herb of seers and travelers between worlds.

Old Beliefs Still Held

  • ·A spoon dropped at supper means a stranger arrives by candlelight.
  • ·Sweep your floor toward the door at dusk and you will sweep out luck with the dust.
  • ·If the kettle sings when no one is near, set out an extra cup.

A Poetic Epitaph
